A made-up incident note
Tuesday, 3:40 p.m. Outside 214 Maple Avenue. A man in a green jacket and a gray cap took a red backpack from a bench and walked north toward the bus stop. Two people saw it: a woman with a stroller and a mail carrier. The backpack had a laptop and a library card inside.
