Maximum tenure for all Assignment Levels in the title of College Aide is 6 years. No student shall be employed more than half-time in any week in which classes in which the student is enrolled are in session. Students may be employed full-time during their vacation periods.

The Queens Borough Commissioner's office seeks a College Aid to help manage and maintain ongoing safety improvement project database and workflow deliverables of all projects that will be implemented in Queens for the Fall 2026 and Winter/Spring 2027 seasons.

Work includes outreach to internal units for materials and editing them; preparing, scheduling and staffing external meetings (Community Board, Civic and elected official meetings) and then preparing debriefing materials for internal stakeholders, including the Commissioner's and First Deputy Commissioner's offices and DOT Intergovernmental Affairs.
Skills they'd like
Possess a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mapping software. Possess a good command of the English language; be detail-oriented and be comfortable speaking in public.
