**Reports To**: Shift Supervisor

**Basic Function**:
Complete and follow up all activities under their control within the SIMOPS area and assist with site PTW verification before the contractor commences any agreed work.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Develop an understanding of all operational procedures and practices through on-the-job training and job rotation to ensure readiness and capability,to assume the operator role. ii) Prepare equipment base of all available procedures for tie-in and open flame work.

Support day-to-day activities including preparations, excavation certificates and Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO) implementations related to PTW approval and gas testing.

Monitor all activities within SIMOPS area and make necessary corrective action, if required

Assist in instructing external contractors if any work requires further or urgent attention. mm) Provide support and assist with QG OPCO personnel to ensure safe and efficient preparations of the work location.

Assist and contribute with the identification and implementation of company safety policy and procedures within SIMOPS area. Maintain SIMOPS PTW in order and file all copies for further reference.

Support and monitor the installation and removal of red blind after complet ion of any tie-in.

**Work Contacts**:
Frequent contact with all Operations Staff and HSEQ Department.

**Independence of Operation**:
Works in accordance with Qatar Gas standards, company policies, and programs.

**Minimum Requirements**

Completion of Secondary (12 years) education followed by 1 year training in the operation of oil and gas equipment.

3 years’ experience in plant operations or utilities in oil or gas processing industry including correct on the Job Training in Plant Operation or Utilities.

Good communication and analytical skills.

Good physical condition.

Knowledge of adapted company policy and procedures.

Operations are carried out according to Company procedures, within a well-structured environment and clearly defined reporting framework.
